On its June 2022 issue Hola Spain visited and interviewed our co-founder Ylenia López Llata at her home in Madrid, about Cuckoo B, fashion, interior design, and more.
"Ylenia and her co-founder, Jesu Silva, decided, over four years ago in Seattle where they lived, to create Cuckoo B: Each piece we create is designed by us and handmade one by one by artisans, Ylenia says".
"We believe in keeping remote cultures alive, supporting fair and transparent work conditions, luxury associated with slow and sustainable fashion with pieces meant to keep forever, always valuing people, culture and the environment over just profit".
"Being an ethical and handmade brand, the creative process is slow. First, Jesu and I decide which accessories to develop, in what specific techniques, and which artisan is going to manufacture it. If we are thinking on a new technique, we start by trying new artisans by testing if they fit with the lead times, quality, and finishes Cuckoo B requires".
"We have coming up really cool new products for the brand and we want to target more multi brand stores to carry Cuckoo B".
